I had fun with this project trying to come up with a good idea for a value. At first I started off with this circle basic value study but it came out really bad. I didn't have enough patience to make it look like it was suppose to. I got to frustrated. So instead after taking that risk I asked for help for a new project that would better. I had tessa Give me an idea and Mrs. Haggarty. What I decided was to do a block value study. I drew the value of blocka and called it “Don't Block the value” because I thought it was pretty creative. In the End I was very proud of my final product.
For this value study I like track and I thought the foot would be a good start. I started this on other time but the proportions were off. I had to get a clean slate but by the end I think it was in my best intrest.
When we were given the project for Nature based theme for block printing the first thing I though was A flower. I took a risk the first but it came out pretty so I started over to create this flower. I think this print came out very good and I'm proud of it. For our group project it was Tessa, Brenna, Christine and I we came up with a bunch of different ideas but we though this one was the most creative and showed the most unity.
Dear Ms. Haggerty May, 2016
I deserved an A for the year because I tried very hard and use all of the resources that I had. Even though I'm not the best artist I put the most amount of effort into each assignment and also tried new things without complaints. I created original art with every assignment that I completed. The artistic behaviors played a huge role in making me deserve this A. I collaborated with people a lot throughout this year. I asked Tess or anyone else around me for ideas or if they liked what I did so far. I took risks when I could like if I got stuck I would just use whatever things I had around me to make it different and explored new mediums like water color, clay, paint and many different things. I really think my work ethic and the artistic behaviors made me deserve an A for this year. Sincerely, Hannah MacDonald |
